Since 2005 Cynthia Alvarez has been teaching art to children, teens, and adults at various studios throughout Los Angeles. In 2016 she opened her own art school in the City of San Fernando. That same year, she became a Director for La Galeria Gitana art gallery, curating exhibits, and organizing educational programs.
She also volunteers and donates to various community events, such as the annual Dia de los Muertos art exhibit in Pacoima and is a volunteer Director for the Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation, Inc. As an alumna of the University of Michigan, she enjoys cheering for her Michigan Wolverine teams. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and camping the various SoCal mountains with her husband and rescue dog Lilah.
